What do our neighbors think? A poll conducted simultaneously in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Morocco, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates found that 39% of Arabs think that Israel is weak and defeat is only a matter of time. Some 99% of Shiite respondents believed this.

Citizenship Law
Citizenship law extended for another year: this evening the Knesset approved a government request to extend the law banning family reunification for mixed Israeli-Palestinian families for another year. The law was passed with a 21-9 majority.

Yesterday for the eighth time the Knesset renewed the temporary amendment banning family reunification between mixed Israeli-Palestinian couples. The amendment prohibits Palestinians from the territories from living with their Israeli spouses and children in Israel.

Freedom Of Expression
Journalist Mohammed Abd al-Hamid, with al-Tariq, filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor the day before yesterday against Hisham Talaat Mustafa, CEO of Alexandria Developments; Mahmoud Serag, the company’s site director in Rehab city; and Gen. Ibrahim Ibrahim, the director of security for the company, as well several company workers and engineers, accusing them of cursing and slandering him and threatening to file false theft charges against him while he was doing his job near company worker housing in New Cairo. He has asked for an investigation into the incident.
